Tonight I am going for dinner at Wascator... Its on the street were I live! It's such a nice place! They always have a veggie dish and the atmosphere is just so nice and cosy..
If you live in Copenhagen and havent been there yet, you have to go!-- And to top things of;;;; you'll probably meet me and Ulla-Tofu there, cause we spend much to much time at that place :-)

Oh and by the way::: I have tried to update my list of readers -- so that I also follow your blogs -- if I have left you out please let me know; or if you'r not quite sure -- I wanna know about you aswell :-)

And I already can feel it is going to be the best day... I am turning 26 - and are a bit worried that the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes will come this year - but appart from that it is pretty awsome to get older !!

I have been doing quite a lot of design related freelance work these past couple of weeks - which is great !! The only downside is that I miss Ulla-Tofu so when I am away from her ( It's as if all design happens outside of Copenhagen - resulting in a great deal of traveling )
But anyways; tonight I am of to Älmhult were IKEA has it's flagship - I signed a contract promissing not to say ANYTHING or show ANYTHING - so i wont :-)

The other day I did Sarahs lemonpasta dish for lunch! Only I didn't have fancy tagiatelle like her - I did it with cheap wholewheat-butterfly-shaped-pasta fom Lidl.. Worked out pretty good anyway :-)

I am back! And it was a lovely trip! The first couple of days it rained so much - but lucky for us the sun came out in the end!

I used to live in Berlin for a couple of years before I started my studies - and to be honest Copenhagen is just way more my kind og city! Maybe it's because the people i love is here - maybe I just that I like the short distances to everything - anyway - it's kinda always like you have to get away to really appreciate what you have at home :-)

I am deeply in love with my new appartment! Now the walls in the kitchen are white! and to top that nice feature, I bougt this hot tub yesterday :-)
Since I don't have a bathroom ( only a toilett ) I had to be creative... I can attatch the hose to my kitchen sink and voila I have a hot tub :-)

I BOUGHT AN APPARTMENT AND I AM BACK IN COPENHAGEN!!

It is in seriously bad shape - but it in an amazing neighborhood, two rooms and with a balcony so what more could I wish for :-) Sitting here right now feeling overwhelmed with all the stuff I need to get doing before it's inhabitable. All the wallpapers are from way before I was born. Not to mention the big wholes in the wall..

WE ARE GOING TO ROSKILDE !!!!
If some og you guys doesen't know what Kålkællingerne is I can tell you that its ME!! ( and my friend Camilla).We are a cooking performance duo where we cook a lot of cabbage... And then saturday Roskilde-festival made the announcement of the bands for this year - and we made the headlines :-) eventhough we aren't a band!! Read about it here and here...

Whiskey Sour

Saturday evening Pernille and I decided to take matters in our own hands! No more being boring and old. Instead we behaved like teenagers and forgot all our stuff around town - that was just the thing to cure me from missing my "old" life.
The medicine = Whiskey Sours! - or maybe its not the real recepie for a sour - but this was what I had in my kitchen and it worked out very lovely :-) (Note: very dangerous)
One cup of lemon juice
one cup of whiskey
a big table spoon of sugar - or as sweet as you prefer....
Shake with ice until the sugar disolves and drink !!

I am having a bit of a spring crissis at the moment, I feel old and boring. I go to school all the time and the biggest that happens on my weekends, are when Tofu and I go to doggy-play-fun sunday in Kolding. (Wich offcourse also is so lovely, especially when there is so many cute pups everywere)
When I was younger I lived in Copenhagen and Berlin and was out crazy-rave-partying all the time - now I wouldent even know were to go out in Copenhagen anymore.....
Can't wait till summer when my bachelor is over - then all the fun can begin again !!!

Char: You have to get your juicer out - I have made juice for my boyfriend and he actually really likes the one with carrots and apples. Even Though he more or less hate all veggies.. So maybe that kind could agree with your husband... And yes I defianatly have to post more recepies with cabbage - it is so amazing, I use it for everything! You can sneak it into all your cooking - pasta sauce, salads, I even made cake out of it once :-)

I finally got my juicer from my ex-husband's house. And boy have it been missed. Today I did carrot, sellery and apple. yesterday was beetroot, broccoli and apple. The soup picture is just there because the colours matched :-)

You guys are right it's a QR-code. I think my project is going to be about making statements in textiles, that you cant see. The code from yesterday actually says "EAT CABBAGE, NOT MEAT" But I am still very much in doubt what I am going to use it for...

I just love going to Malmö! Not only because of all the crazy vegan food you can eat - it's also a really lovely city. It just seems that people are so nice and friendly comparred to Copenhagen and the whole vibe of the city is so calm and relaxed.
I also went to Malmö Konsthall, wich never stop to amaze with beautiful exhibitions - this time it was with the american Walead Besthy - who did the cubes I managed to get two pics of before I guy came and told me I wasn't allowed, ups :-)

VEGEGÅRDEN

Yesterday I went to Malmö and to call it the promised land for vegans wouln't be an understatement!!
They have everything!!
To be honest you all know I have been flirting a bit with goatcheese and whipcream (somethimes its just so hard to say no all the time), so I havent been completely vegan, but if I lived in sweeden it definitely would be so much easier - they have everything in soy!!! Everything!
These pics are from the chinese restaurant Vegegården, where all the dishes are with vegan "meats"! The last pic is of deepfried "shrimp".
It was so good.. Normally I dont eat that much faux-meat - it is so expensive to get in Kolding, and the choices are very limited. To be honest I kinda think it is very silly to eat something that artificially is trying to recemblence something that it's not.
But this place is hilarious - go there to enjoy a lovely meat free meal - both enjoyable for carnivores and veggies !

My favorite smoothie at the moment looks so disgusting, but tastes amazing and is super healthy!
I use:
2 big handfuls of fresh spinach
2 cups of frozen stawberries
1 orange
about 3 cups alomondmilk or water

Blend full speed and drink ( with pink straws preferably :-)

Tofu is kind of sick of me.. Since she now is ten months I have switched her to a grownup kibble (witch also is a vegetarian one). For such a long time I have been looking for a veggie one - and everybody have just shuck their heads and told me I was crazy to try to make my dog vegetarian...

Dont really think I can justifie killing one animal to feed another..

Well Tofu thinks I am crazy and she simply wont eat it! It is super good quality - and very expensive... Shes a princess, thats why :-)

I did flaxseed crispbread yeasterday - wich is my new obsession - since I am not always good at getting enough protein I thought about places were I could pimp my diet.. And my bread habits are somewhat very bad. As a lot vegetarians I get way to much gluten and bread... But these are a nice alternative.

I used
1 cup of flaxseeds
1 cup sunflowerseeds
1/2 cup sesameseeds
1 cup water
salt

First I ground the sunflowerseeds - and pour it into a bowl.
I then mix the rest in the foodprocessor until it goes all sticky/jelly-like and then ad it to the sunflowerseed-flour.
Spread it out on oily bakingshets and bake until crisp at low low heat - my oven goes down to 100 celcius (probably an hour or so, depending on the heat and your owen)

Eat it with loads of avocado on top!

The operation went so well (thanks for your well wishes ) Now I have nothing left to do then to wait and rest, and then in a couple of weeks Ill be as good as new :-)

I am working on my portfolio this week in school. Hoping to get a webpage with my works up and running before I start making my bachelors next week...
So far I have bought emiliaweir.dk and looked at something called indexibit - also heard that tumblr was a good solution - do any of you guys have any experience in that field?
It all seems pretty technical - but I suppose thats what's demanded nowadays, right :-)

Yesterday I went to a seminar at my school about fashion blogging. One of the quotes I remember best, was when the professor said:

"Fashion blogging is a reflection of the society we have build these past years: we now are neo-kapapitalistic feminists - where our daily lifes concerns 'must haves' and 'look at what I am wearing today' posts"

A really depressing thought...

She also said the key to a got blog is to have somthing others whant-(good style - expensive clothes etc.)

So today I am doing the opposite- because to me, thats all way to depressing.
I am going to blog about what none of you want - and what i suppose is very unprestigious - shopping in LIDL...
I have absolutely no money - after Paris and the iPhone, so now I have to do all my groceries in this wery unromantic place.... They have no real brands - or almost - Gillette turns to Billette and the very lovely cola is called Freeway...
But boy is it cheap!

My life without internet at home lasted for about 2,5 months... It was such a weird and great experience.. I dont have any television either so when I was alone - I was really alone.. I do have a radio and started reading a lot of books. Found out that my local thrift shop actually had all the danish classics from the seventies for only 5 kroner...
But must admit it is good getting the old interfriend back...
Have so much blog reading to catch up on - can't wait to see whats going on where you guys are!

Oh and the recepie for the "carrot steaks" in the iPhone4 post is:
4 big grated carrots
1 grated zucchini
2 eggs
1 finely chopped onion
3 heaped tablespoons of flour
a pinch og dryed: basil, oregano, rosemary and thyme ( or witch ever you prefer, sometimes I also use grounded cummin)
salt and peper
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I water out the zucchini and the carrots in salt-(mush a good deal of salt into the veggies, wait a sec and drain them as much as you can)
add the rest of the ingredients and fry for quite some time in a bit of oil (they need more than meat normally does)

So last week I went to Paris to show my textiles at the big Premier Vision fare. It's beem ages since I last went to Paris so I almost couldent remember anything from it - but I was so happily surprised by the city - so much great food and such nice aestetics everywhere, just coulden't resist all that cheese and cake, not to mention the wine;-)

So now all my blogging absence has come to an end.. As you know I have been living without the internet for quite some time now - but today I have become the lucky owner of an Iphone4 - and blogger even have an app, so I can blog were ever I am :-)
Hopefully I can learn to take better photos than this one above. It is of tonight's dinner (carrot "steaks") but they just seem incredibly orange to me...
Anyways, hurray for silly gadgets that makes life more fun ;-)

When I first moved to Kolding all I wanted was to move into an old shed like this. But now that we have snow up until your knees here, I am really glad i went with an appartment....
The snow is so amazing - It makes me so happy and all I do now is enjoying its beauty - I suppose I wouldent have if my living arrangements would have been like this :-)

My whole class from the Designschool went to Japan for a study trip (buy a dog = low on cash) But Lærke my fabulous classmate brought home a afro-dog-wig for Ulla-Tofu - Its amazing :-)
And then I started backing my own dog treats - these are with parsley - she liked them alright, but i suppose they don't messure up to dried meat!
